I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately. Genuary 2023 felt very magical, I could work through the prompts and create something I was pretty happy with. I was pretty pleased with every post I made. Genuary 2024 felt very different, like pushing a boulder uphill. The prompts were pretty clear, and I felt I better understood how to approach them. It was a different story every time I started writing code.

Don’t get me wrong, I am happy with some of the renders I made in response to the prompts but a lot of them felt like happy accidents. So, I did what any sane person would do and decided to start digging through the p5.js documentation and work through some of the basics.

This first batch is all about the basic shapes you can make. Nothing special, but I learned a few things while working through some of the different APIs, which is the whole point of this exercise.

Here are a few renders that I found interesting.
